We are so very encouraged that in spite of the situation, our leaders in Haiti continue to identify opportunities to plant new churches. While we maintain support of our existing six churches in Ponce, Williamson North, Saintard, Fort Delpeche, Boucan and Marre, we have identified several additional communities for church plants in the mountains of Haiti, two of which are described below and in subsequent photos which show the existing church buildings which we will be replacing and the surrounding land.

Land has been acquired and the deed is now in CrossRoads’ name. We are set to begin building in the next few months.

Pastors have been identified for each community and Pastor Elie will be mentoring them to bring under CrossRoads’ guidance.
We have been challenged with the high cost of many building products in Haiti. This requires us to re-think our typical church building. The current cost estimate for each building is now between $25,000-30,000, and Didi will be managing the construction. He is a bit worried about meeting previous standards, but we have confidence in his leadership abilities and are excited to partner with him on these projects.
